The Business Master Class and Fashion Show (BMCFS) is an element of Eastern Cape Art and Fashion week that will be at the Mandela Bay Arts Festival! A platform created for local SMMEs in the creative fraternity to learn from industry experts and showcase their innovative brands, products and services to respective target market, the exhibition offers an array of brands and artisans who offer a wide range of products and services.
About the Artists
Thando Piliso was born and bred in the Eastern Cape, he started off as a self-taught fashion designer and as his passion and interest in professional design grew, leading him to enrol with Damelin School of Fashion, where he obtained a certificate in fashion designing and retail buying. He has since grown to a trusted garment constructor; named one of the top 8 in the Eastern Cape Fashion designers at the Buyelekhaya Pan African Concert in 2015. He was also selected to work as an upcoming designer on a mentorship programme certified by the world-renowned designers David Tlale and Thula Sindi.
He has showcased in the Nelson Mandela Fashion Week, 2016 to 2017. In 2018, he was awarded an internship with Gert Johan Coetzee, and in the same year, he showcased at the Vodacom Red. In 2021, he showcased at the Ebubeleni Music Festival and was invited to showcase at the Nook Fashion International Nigeria, Fashion without Borders in Johannesburg, and at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Kigali, Rwanda.
