KDX brings it's vibrant platform dedicated to celebrating street dance culture to the Mandela Bay Arts Festival 2025. The event include a few sessions on foundations in different street dance styles (waacking, hip hop, breaking, locking, and popping etc), culture conversations that explore and celebrate the essence of street dance, and industry talks designed to hone your skills for a professional dance journey. All the activities in this workshop event equip dancers for audition and competition situations to build confidence when such opportunities arise. You will meet with some of Gqeberha and South Africa's talented street dancers, learn from them and become a part of a community of that shares such a big love for the craft.

About the Artists
Kris Swartbooi, also known as KrissiDance, is a dancer, choreographer, and visionary originally from the Western Cape, now based in Gqeberha. Her dance journey began in 2013 when a friend introduced her to the art, igniting a passion that has shaped her life ever since.
As the founder of The KEEP DANCING Experience (KDX), Kris has created a platform to celebrate the street dance culture, nurture local talent, and provide opportunities for dancers to connect and grow. Through masterclasses, street battles, and cultural conversations, KDX offers a space for dancers of all backgrounds to pursue their passion and develop their craft.
Kris is dedicated to uplifting dancers from all walks of life and promoting Gqeberha’s vibrant dance community, ensuring its talent and culture are recognized. Her mission is simple: to keep the joy of dance alive and inspire others to KEEP DANCING.
