IBHINQA
Lungelwa Magqamfana

Ibhinqa is a powerful play that sheds light on the harsh realities of abuse and betrayal. The story follows the lives of three women who are all victims of the same man—a family member and a husband to one of them. This man, who has manipulated and hurt those closest to him, has also fathered a child with his own sister, resulting in the birth of a beautiful baby girl.

As the layers of deception and violence unfold, the women are forced to confront their painful truths and fight for justice. With a focus on raising awareness about the devastating impact of abuse, Ibhinqa explores themes of power, control, and the courage it takes to break free from cycles of violence. This production serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of speaking out and standing up for the rights and dignity of women everywhere.
