Floetic Fun Foods & Fashion Fair is a culinary experience that honours tradition, arts and innovation. This show is a challenge to the Xhosa community to search deep into their memory banks to see if they have traditional food knowledge and vocabulary.
But it’s not just for those who remember - the session will provide information about types of plants used as staple foods, various dishes that can be made from different grains or plants and their nutritional value. The creators hope to teach, influence and instill Xhosa tradition and indigenous knowledge through food, fashion and literature and they’re inviting young and old to learn a thing or two
