About the Artists

Zain SA


Zain SA is a highly accomplished South African music producer, composer, and singer-songwriter. Residing in the Eastern Cape (Gqebera), he boasts platinum-selling status. Rooted in a childhood immersed in church music, Zain SA's profound exposure sculpted his musical acumen, aligning perfectly with his calling to craft globally resonant music. Specializing in Amapiano, he weaves dance music infused with a compelling message of hope, providing uplifting and healing experiences that transcend cultural boundaries, echoing the therapeutic power of his notable work, such as "Ina Iyeza."


King Jade and Baby Joe


A Despatch duo, renowned for their versatility in South Africa's music scene, seamlessly blends Gqom, Gospel Gqom, Kwaito, and African Piano. Their full-length African Piano album boasts hits like "Asambe Dali," "Nyamezela," "Matsidiso," "Amanyange," and "Imali." As producers, they've released Gqom gospel tracks including "Thel'umoya," "Bawelile (Covid-19 anthem)," and "Noyana," featuring artists like Busiswa, Nokwazi, and Andile B. Over 14 years, they've grown, honed their craft, and remain dedicated to excellence.


MissJay


MissJay, Founder of the Sam Jam Sessions, has been a deejay for over a decade. She has become a household name in the Eastern Cape and growing in the national space as well.  The Sam Jam Sessions, a lifestyle event was a quarterly event which showcases Eastern Cape local artists and DJ’s, mainly female Deejays. 


She also co-founded the successful all female "Queens on Decks" and is part of 'Stand-Up People" a collaboration with Mbulelo Msongelwa that infuses comedy with music and other art forms. Through a range of successful collaborations with artists across South Africa, Missjay has thus built relationships in the industry as well as local businesses. 


Thembi Mona


East London's own Thembi Mona is a testament to music's healing power. Raised on a family farm, she juggled multiple jobs after college to build a better life for her family. Music kept her afloat, and in 2015, a stable job gave her the wings to fly. From backing vocals to her 2020 debut EP "Oluhambo Lwam Lude," every note reflects her journey. Her radio hit "Loyiso" opened doors, leading to gigs and collaborations. Now, Johannesburg lights ignite her next chapter: TV debut on Massiv Music and fresh tunes echoing from the studio.
