The Nelson Mandela Bay Arts Business Workshop is a great initiative to develop and share knowledge with upcoming creatives from diverse backgrounds, and to equip artists with the necessary skills to manage their brands professionally and succeed in the industry. This workshop will cover: music registration, music submission, invoicing, funding proposal writing and artist profile writing.


The workshop facilitation strives to impart skills and knowledge to emerging creatives, fostering increased possibilities for employment opportunities. It seeks to cultivate the growth of the Nelson Mandela Bay creative sector and empower artists with essential skills to effectively manage their brands and navigate grant applications. Participants will receive certificates acknowledging their passion for the arts.

About the Artists

Future Start Entertainment is an Arts & Culture Organization formed in the NMB, Eastern Cape. This company was founded by hip-hop artist Hlomla Mpongoshe, known as Jay SA. Future Start Entertainment has been partnering with the Department of Arts & Culture and the National Arts Council to implement developmental events in the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality. Our objective is to bring economic growth and development to creatives in the Mandela Bay Municipality. We have worked with DSAC, the NAC, DSRAC, ECPACC, and the MBDA to implement developmental projects in the Nelson Mandela Bay region. Our organization has a proven record of implementing projects and creating jobs in the NMB region.
